Pamhule Forest

Later that afternoon, Anker and I went for a walk through Pamhule Forest. Spanning 750 acres, it is one of the largest forests in the area. The name roughly means “the forest in the hollow amongst rolling hills.” The path wound quietly through tall pines and mixed trees, and it felt peaceful to be out in the fresh air.

A Tall Sentinel

As we walked deeper into the forest, this tall, bare tree stood out against the misty background. It felt like a quiet sentinel watching over the hills and undergrowth. The fog made everything feel still and a little mysterious.

Pamhule Forest is home to many woodland birds and is popular with hikers and mountain bikers.
