DAY 64 / 11-09-94
Århus, Denmark

Today was another simple & relaxing day, good for thinking and a nice time-out before my mad dash of traveling that I’ll face in the next four weeks / six countries.

I slept till 1:00, then spent the whole afternoon with Steve – Gitte’s roommate – fishing. Actually he fished and I took pictures.

The afternoon was marred though when I slipped on some rocks and banged up my shin and soaked my foot in the icy water of the North Sea. By the time I got home my foot was like a block of ice, and it took a very hot shower and an hour or two before it returned to normal.

I’ve been by myself all night, Gitte is at work, and I felt a BAD case of homesickness coming on. Luckily I avoided the brunt of it by forcing myself to plan several alternative routes for my traveling & by reading & adding to my list of accomplishments.

I’ll have to remember this day the next time I say “I hate Kearney” because right now I really wish I was there.
